Alpine Glaciers – Who Got It Right ?

Here is a headline that we all have become conditioned to:

Alpine Glaciers gone by 2050 !

Due to mans impact on climate change.

Here is a headline that I would like to suggest to the alarmists:

Global Alarmists Are Full of It !

Due to careful research of the past.

John Tyndall (2 August 1820 – 4 December 1893) was a prominent 19th century physicist and glaciologist . Tyndall, in an article from Popular Science, was quoted as saying that the ice of the alps “derives its origin from the heat of the sun.” The article continued, ” that if that were diminished, their source of supply would be cut off.”

I find this quote fascinating. John Tyndall, suggests that heat causes glaciation. While the origins of of glaciers is from thermal radiation, there is a whole cycle of phenomena associated with glaciation.  But the comment made by Dr. Tyndall suggests that the formation of alpine glaciers are heat induced, initially.

With that being said, wouldn’t logic proceed us to conclude that by John Tyndall’s own words, that todays temperatures would suggest that alpine glaciers should be increasing, not diminishing?

The fact that glaciers are diminishing, by most peoples account(though I am still unsure as to the accuracy of these reports), would suggest that based on Dr. Tyndall’s rationale, would be the cause of reduced heat.

Now I must say, I find this really intriguing. Its obvious to me that not all glaciers act like the other. Depending on location and type of glacier, each glacier will respond to the environment in which it is contained. Some glaciers grow while others recede.

But the point I’m trying to make here is, is that its difficult for me to believe in our scientific institutions that, that wish us to accept the science is settled, when it fact, it seems so unsettled, that I am going to devote a good portion of my time to researching glaciology . I wont  feel satisfied until I get to the bottom of this.

My questioning of this ideology is because of the status with which the environmental community gives Dr. Tyndall. For example, the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research.  Straight from their own webpage, you can find this written: “The Tyndall Centre is a unique partnership between a selection of researchers from six UK research institutions, who together form the Tyndall Consortium”. One of those partners are the University of East Anglia.

So, I guess my point here is, why is it that the UEA, in partnership with the TCCCR, encourage us to believe that the alpine glaciers of the Alps are going to disappear in several decades, due to global warming, when the scientist they honor by naming one of their research units after him, suggests that alpine glaciers thrive on the radiated heat supplied from the sun ?

Do these research units not understand glaciation? Do they not agree with Dr. Tyndall? If in fact the glaciers of the alpine region in the alps get their origins from the suns heat, then the rising temperatures should be a good omen for those living in the region.

Instead it seems, that most people have forgotten history and now rely on the rantings of lunatics and shysters.

The more research I do on climate change that is propagandized by scientists, environmentalists and politicians that support anthropogenic global warming, the more I am convinced that they knowingly misrepresent and distort the facts to achieve an agenda to control and manipulate our society.

Stay tuned and comment often. I’m going to need all the input I can get on this subject.
